GASPAR PATRIARCA JR., of Phase V package V Block 29 Lot 14, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City, was forcibly taken by armed men in his place of work at Transtar Trucking, Tandang Sora. Patriarca was reportedly aboard a red owner-type jeep with plate number EAG-819 and sped towards Sangandaan, Novaliches. Prior to the incident, a suspected communist hitman who is a friend of Patriarca was arrested by the elements of the Central District Special Action Force (CDSAF).     Patriarca's father, Gaspar Sr., was an active unionist when he was still employed as a driver at the Pasvil Liner, Inc. Gaspar Jr. acts as his father's courier during the strike at the Pasvil.
