Jose Bernaldo, a fisherman and resident of Pantalan Luma, Orani, Bataan.  On January 17, 1986, after having lunch, Jose was resting on the riverbank near their home when suddenly some men in military uniforms and armed with high-caliber guns arrived on a motorboat. They forced Jose to board the boat and quickly left for the sea.  According to eyewitnesses to the incident, the men allegedly told the victim that nothing bad would happen to him as long as he helped them. The men also shouted that Jose was a member of the NPA.  The next day, the victim was searched for at various police stations but they could not find him.  According to the victim's mother, her son helps in forwarding letters and communications between NPA groups operating in their area.  Since Jose's disappearance, there has been no news about him.
