On the morning of Nov. 11, 1986, Joselito was waiting for transport to the factory in Marikina where he worked when an owner-type jeep suddenly stopped in front of him, and four armed men alighted from the jeep and abducted him; they sped off towards Balanga, Bataan. According to witnesses, those who abducted Joselito belong to a military intelligence group. When news of the abduction reached Joselito's mother, she immediately reported it to the barangay chairman. Several relatives also started searching for the victim in different military and police camps, but they could not find Joselito. Joselito is very active in helping members of the NPA every time he is back in Bataan, according to Joselito's mother Lydia. And this is the reason she suspects why her son was abducted.
