On August 23, 1990, between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m., Leonardo Enrique was abducted by three armed men in civilian clothes while he was in a vulcanizing shop for the repair of his motorcycle in Sta. Rosa, Balanga, Bataan.  According to his relative who witnessed the incident, he saw the military call Leonardo and forcibly board him in a tricycle. When they reached Balanga Market, he saw the victim was forcibly boarding a military-owner-type jeep.  According to the Barangay Captain, around 3:00 p.m. On the same day, the house of Leonardo's father was illegally searched by elements of the 161st PC Coy on the suspicion that they were hiding guns but found nothing.  On August 24, 2001, the parents of Leonardo went to the governor to ask for his help to locate their missing son. The governor assured them he would look into the matter, but nothing happened. The father of the victim went to Camp Tolentino but to no avail.  After ten days of searching, Jesusa Enrique, wife of the victim, went to the camp of the Philippine Army in Brgy. Bagong Bayan, Pilar, Bataan. The commanding officer informed her that on August 23, 1990, a captain of the 161st PC Coy had arrested a man allegedly possessing a gun and grenade. The wife of the victim has a strong suspicion that this captain is behind the disappearance of her husband.
