The men barged into the house after destroying the bamboo door.  Nida immediately recognized the intruders.

Nida believed that she had a case of kidnapping against the intruders. She considered as motive for her husband's kidnap, the perpetrator's grudge against their family. 

On 28 July 1988, upon returning home, Nida was informed that the two military men involved in Noe's arbitrary arrest came back and was looking for her.  Like her husband, she was also suspected as an NPA sympathizer.  Nida herself is in hiding. 

She has filed a case of kidnapping against the perpetrators with the Masbate Provincial Fiscal in August of the same year.  To this day, Nida remains in hiding, her husband Noe remains disappeared.
