A certain Santiago Laroya was illegally arrested and has been missing since May 12, 1987.

At about 11 o'clock in the evening of May 12, 1987, while Santiago was about to attend a prayer vigil in Camarines Norte, a number of armed men wearing plain clothes, without any provocation, forcibly abducted Santiago. He cried for help, but their neighbor seemed astounded by the incident.

According to the witness, who was in the vicinity when the incident happened, he positively identified that the captors were members of the 60th Battalion (PA) while conducting their foot patrol in the area.

Since then, Santiago Laroya has had no further information regarding his whereabouts.
