A former union leader of a bus company was abducted by four armed men believed to be government agents along F. Manalo and E. Fernandez Sts., in Brgy. Batis, San Juan, Metro Manila, last April 8, 1990. Declared missing after his abduction was Serafin Guese, 35, married, a taxi driver, and a resident of Tuberias St., San Juan, M.M.  According to witnesses, Serafin Guese was driving his tricycle along F. Manalo and E. Fernandez Sts. in San Juan when four armed men blocked his way. Guese was forcibly taken out from his tricycle. When he refused to go with them, a .45 caliber pistol was poked at his back. Guese resisted the arrest, but he was overwhelmed by his captors. He was herded into a Ford Fiera jeep bearing no plate number.  Cecilia Guese, wife of Serafin, said that she was informed about the abduction of her husband by her nephew, Javier Advincula. She hurriedly went to the San Juan Police Station to report the incident. Serafin, according to Cecilia, was presently working as a tricycle driver to meet their ends. Guess left the G. The liner bus company, after receiving several death threats during an ongoing labor dispute between workers and the management. Serafin Guese was one of the board officials of the workers' union affiliated with the Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU).  On December 23, 1989, Carlos Balilan, the manager of the company, and his son Edwin were shot dead during an ambush by alleged members of the Alex Boncayao Brigade (ABB). Ceciclia said his husband was one of the suspects in the killings.   Searches conducted for the whereabouts of Serafin Guese were all in vain. A series of investigations showed that the incident of Guese's abduction was well planned. According to witnesses, the perpetrator used a blue car with plate number SAE 629. But the clothes of the perpetrators cannot be recalled by the witnesses. According to investigators, such plate numbers are being used by government and military authorities.
