Victor Dandan Reyes, 26, male, single, labor worker, and a best friend of Atty. Hermon C. Lagman was apprehended by unidentified military men together with Atty. Lagman was on their way to a meeting in Pasay in the morning of May 11, 1977.
On the night of May 14, 1977, an anonymous telephone caller frantically informed the Lagman family that Hermon was with him and Victor Reyes to attend a meeting in Pasay. On their way, military men apprehended them. The caller was able to escape, but Hermon and Victor were taken by their military captors and brought to an unknown place.
Victor D. Reyes has reportedly been seen twice by workers near Gelmart Industries on South Superhighway sometime in late October and early November 1977. Hermon and Victor were both involved in union-building activities among laborers in Manila.
No witnesses have appeared to shed light on their disappearance.
